STAIR LIFT

If you or your loved one have difficulty getting up and down the stairs, a stairglide is an ideal solution to remain independent in your own home. A stairglide (or stairlift) is a chair that climbs up and down a staircase on a motorized rail attached to the stairs. It is designed to help you get up and down the stairs with ease, giving you complete access to the different levels in your home.

FAQ About Stairglide Rentals

Stairglides can be used on pretty much any staircase, indoors or out. However, we only rent straight stairglides for indoors usage. If you need an outdoors or curved stairglide, check out our product page or call us at 855-357-7679 to schedule an in-home orientation and receive a quote for purchasing.

If your straight stairway is under 15 ft in length, it will cost no more than $175 a month. The average stair has a 7″ rise and a 11″ run, so that means you would normally get 15-16 stairs of coverage. If your stairway is longer that 15 ft, we may still be able to accommodate you for an additional fee.

Our rental stairglides are tested safe for individuals under 285 lbs.

However, we offer stairglides with higher weight limits for purchase. Check out our product page or call us at 855-357-7679 to schedule an in-home orientation and receive a quote for purchasing.

Stairglides are attached to the floor. After you have the stair lift removed, you shouldn’t see any damage to your stairs or carpet. The screws keeping the support brackets steady will leave a few small holes in the stair treads. Carpeting should keep them out of sight.

If you have wooden stairs, the brackets will leave small holes behind, which you can plug with wood filler. The holes should not pose a risk for damage, or make your stairs unsafe in any way.
